Ashley this is for you!!!

Im gonna use this blog to post all the recipes I come up with for the fast. This way neither of us will starve.

Recipe 1
Daniel Fast Bean Soup

You will need the following things
- large pot
- 16 bean soup mix
- 1 large onion
- can of unsweetened tomato sauce
-clove of garlic.
- 1 cup of veggie broth
-1 cup of water

Then what happens?
So firstwhat you do is you rinse the beans and shat! cus it might have dirt on it. I use this soup mix that I found at food for less cus it has 16 types of beans...yummm! but you really can use whatever you want.

and thennnn....you put them in you big ole pot. I only use half a bag cus if you use the whole bag your gonna have a crap load of beans! But if your making it to share (with my cousin lol) then you can just double the recipe.

So yeah..drop them beans off in the pot. Then you wretch around and grab a cutting board so that you can cut up all your veggies. (you can be creative and use what ever veggies you have on hand)I used 1/4 of a red bell pepper and then I threw a 1/4 of an onion off in there and a clove of garlic. You will want to chop the bell pepper and garlic real fine. But don't chop the onion up fine. Just chop it into large pieces because you will remove it before eating.

After you chopped everything...you can drop that off in the pot wit the beans. Then Cover the beans in one cup of veggie broth. and about half a cup of water.

Lastly, your gonna add a can of tomato sauce. (not the big a** cans we bought from trader joes.)
justa little can like this one that I got at the Walmart. Make sure that they don't add any sugar to the sauce since we can't have that on the fast.

Then your done! Just let the ingredients simmer on medium heat for about 2 hrs. You can add salt and pepper to it while its cooking. Just taste it until you get the flavor you want. If you want your beans more soupy instead of thick, just add water or more veggie broth.
Good luck Friend!!
